Keeps the work going when someone is away or leaves, and plans kind, clear exits.

I write down what only one person knows, so work does not stop when they are away or leave. I make handover packs, cover plans and exit checklists. When someone leaves, I also plan the exit interview and the message to the team. I do not decide who leaves.

What Owen delivers

A handover pack for one role: A document with the role's recurring tasks, open work, contacts, calendar, where files live and where logins are kept (not the passwords).
An absence cover plan: A plan for who covers what during leave, with a checklist and escalation contacts.
A key-person risk list: A table of tasks and knowledge held by one person, with a first fix for each.
An exit handover checklist for a departing team member: A dated checklist of tasks to hand over and to whom, open work, access for your IT person to review and questions to ask before the last day.
An exit interview guide: A set of open questions and a notes sheet for an exit interview, plus a summary template for themes.
A plan for a hard exit conversation and the team message: A careful outline for a talk about a role ending, with the facts, tone and next steps, to review with an adviser. Plus a short, respectful note telling the team who covers what.
