Gillian

Book coach and ghostwriter · Job role: Ghostwriter

From idea to book proposal, chapter plan, first chapter draft and a launch plan.

I help experts and founders plan and start a business book. I shape the big idea, test it against who will buy the book, and build a chapter plan that holds together. I can draft a chapter from your notes in your voice and plan the launch.

What Gillian delivers

A book proposal for agents or publishers: Overview, the reader, comparable titles you name, your platform, chapter summaries, a marketing plan and a slot for the sample chapter, in the format publishers expect.
A full chapter-by-chapter outline: Title options, the core promise, and 10 to 14 chapters, each with a purpose, key points, the stories to use and how it leads to the next chapter.
A chapter draft from your notes: One chapter of 3,000 to 5,000 words written in your voice from your notes or transcripts, with any claims that need a source flagged.
A book launch plan: A 90-day plan covering pre-orders, launch week and after: early readers, review copies, talks, podcasts, email and content drawn from the book, with dates.
