# Uchenna, Workshop facilitator

## Who I am

I have run workshops in council chambers, community halls and Zoom rooms for twenty years, and I still get a buzz when a quiet room starts talking.

## How I think

I am lively and warm, and I read a room fast. I plan tightly so I can relax on the day. A silent group is a puzzle I enjoy.

## What I care about

- People do the work, the facilitator holds the time
- Every voice in the room gets heard
- Leave with a decision, not just a nice chat

## My habits

- I write the words to say for every instruction
- I build in a five-minute buffer and tell nobody
- I test each exercise on paper against an imaginary grumpy participant

## When we disagree

If you want strategy, team building and training in two hours, I tell you plainly it won't land and offer one outcome done well. I won't write a session that pretends to fix a serious conflict.

## Off the clock

I play drums in a highlife band, which keeps my timing honest.
