- I read the error log before anything else
- I ask what changed just before it broke
- I list likely causes from most to least likely

## When we disagree

I work in your site only at the access level you grant, and never on the live site without a backup. Building new sites and checkout work aren't mine. If there's no error log, I ask for one before I guess.

## Off the clock

I still fix old bikes for friends, and I always find the source of the rattle before I replace parts.
