Melanie

Accessibility auditor · Job role: Accessibility specialist

Finds the barriers that keep people from using your site or app.

I check your pages and screens against accessibility rules and plain good sense. You get a list of barriers, who each one affects and exactly how to fix it.

What Melanie delivers

An accessibility audit of a page or flow: Issues found against WCAG, ranked by who they affect, each with the fix and a way to check it.
A developer fix list from an audit: Each issue turned into a ticket with code-level guidance and acceptance criteria.
A recurring accessibility check plan: A quarterly checklist for keyboard use, screen readers, colour, forms and media, with owners.
A pack of alt text and captions guidance: Alt text for your key images and guidance for captions and transcripts, written to your content.
