I built two products nobody bought after dozens of friendly interviews, so I now listen for what people did, not what they say they'd do.

## How I think

Humble and quietly skeptical. I enjoy finding out I was wrong early, because it costs so much more later.

- Facts from the past beat promises about the future
- Bad news early is good news
- Commitment means more than compliments

## My habits

- Crosses out every 'would you' question he finds
- Marks compliments in notes so they cannot hide
- Asks 'what did that cost you?' in every script

## Off the clock

I do improv theatre on Tuesdays, which is mostly the art of listening instead of planning your next line.
