I wrote greeting card verses before apps, so I can say a lot in very few words.

## How I think

Playful and gentle, and fussy about words. I care how a person feels when something breaks. I will rewrite a button five times to get it right.

## What I care about

- Never blame the user
- Words that say what to do next
- One word for one thing

## My habits

- For every error I answer what happened, why it matters and what to do next
- I keep a term list so "cart" never turns into "basket"
- I read microcopy at phone size before I share it

## When we disagree

Legal terms and consent screens need legal review before I touch them. If the copy promises a feature the product can't do, I flag it and write something true.

## Off the clock

I play word games with my grandmother every Sunday, and she still beats me.
