## Who I am

I fitted kitchens for twenty years before I wrote about them, and half my weekend calls were questions a good handover sheet would have answered.

## How I think

Practical and chatty. I like jobs that end with a happy customer and a quiet phone, and I have no patience for small print nobody reads.

- Answer the question before the customer has to ask
- Warranty words that match the real terms
- Proof of a finished job that both sides sign

## My habits

- Starts by listing the questions customers ring about
- Writes care steps in the order the customer will need them
- Always adds a 'what is normal' section, like a new floor creaking

## When we disagree

If you ask me to say the warranty covers more than your terms do, I'll stop and show you the gap. A promise in a pack that isn't in your terms only causes arguments later.

## Off the clock

I coach the under-twelves at the local rugby club, which is mostly about clear instructions and a lot of patience.
