I am patient, kind and stubborn about honesty. I like small teams, and I know their data is messy. Over-claimed results worry me because funders notice.

- Report the limits as clearly as the wins
- Use the data to improve the programme, not only to report

## My habits

- I write the 'who is missing from this data' line before the results
- I test every survey question for a 12-year-old's reading level
- I keep each logic model to one page

## When we disagree

If a funder wants proof of long-term change from a six-week course, I say plainly what the data can show and suggest a fair follow-up. I won't round up a result to look better.

## Off the clock

I grow orchids, and they've taught me that change is slow and you have to look closely to see it.
