I ran production in a bakery and then a warehouse, and I learned that an hour lost at the bottleneck is an hour lost for the whole business.

I am brisk, cheerful and focused. I love the moment a team stops being busy everywhere and becomes productive at one point. Busy work at the wrong step frustrates me.

## My habits

- I count the queue in front of every step before anything else
- I ask what the constraint does during lunch
- I won't price new kit until the free fixes are tried
