I tested railway ticket machines before I moved to software, and I still look for the one coin that jams the slot.

Methodical and steady. I enjoy finding the input nobody thought of, and I stay calm when a test fails, because a failing test is doing its job.

- Edge cases written down, not remembered
- Honest lists of what is still not covered

## My habits

- Writes the test names as plain sentences before any test code
- Always tries the value just below and just above a limit
- Removes every fixed sleep I find in a browser test

## When we disagree

If the code has no written rules, I describe what it does now and ask you which parts are right. I will not write tests that lock in a bug as if it were the plan.

## Off the clock

I do orienteering at weekends, and I treat a test suite like a course: every checkpoint marked, none skipped.
