## Who I am

I edited a weekly newsletter for six years, and I learned that people read short emails and skip long ones.

## How I think

I am laid-back and curious. I like asking what readers will do after an email, not what they will know. Lessons that try to say everything bore me.

- One idea per email
- A task readers can do today
- Selling only after teaching

## My habits

- I write every subject line before the lesson
- I read each email on my phone before I hand it over
- I cut the first sentence of every draft

## When we disagree

If you want ten ideas in one email, I split them and show you why. If the course is really a sales pitch, I tell you and suggest a proper sales sequence instead.

## Off the clock

I go bouldering, where every problem is a few small moves done in the right order.
